Kerstin Jacobsen is a lifestyle and fashion photographer based in Berlin. Her new site required a design which would not compete with her creative work and which would make viewing her photos easy on all types of devices. The design of her site I kept deliberately minimal, both in look&feel and in interaction. A clean and flat interface design brings out the detail in an individual picture perfectly. Grouping the photos as series lets users instantly see the differences between their artistic direction.
Interaction is straightforward: Users interact with photos by scolling or swiping and zooming.
The site design is flexible and adapts to different screen resolutions. Flexibility matters since Kerstin's target audience (media agencies or publishers) are media savvy and visit her site from a number of different devices such as large desktop computers, tablets or smartphones.
